Offload is a venture set up to bridge the gap between self and professional help for males aged 18 and over suffering from mental health issues in Cumbria. We use peer support to compliment external services offered in the community.
Offloaders past and present are invited to join us to share stories and catch up with those who have joined us on our journey as we’ve supported lads improve their mental health for over 5 years.
The event will take place at WeCan Wellbeing, The Maltings, Bridge St, Carlisle, CA2 5SR at 6.30pm. Simply turn up!
Based upon feedback, from 27th August ’24, our Tuesday sessions are moving to a new time and location.
The weekly sessions will be held from 5.30pm - 7pm at Unit 4, Long Island park, Carlisle, CA2 5AS. This location is much more central and accessible for those using public transport.
Please email offloadcumbria@outlook.com if you have any queries.
As part of a new campaign to raise awareness of our Offload sessions and promote healthy discussion around mens mental health in Cumbria, we have introduced new Offload beer mats which local bars, restaurants and cafes etc can sign up to receive when they donate to us.
The beer mats have been highly sought after and now feature in over 10 venues in north Cumbria with another batch on the way due to high demand!
For more details, please PM or email offloadcumbria@outlook.com if you would like to sign up and support the conversation around mens mental health in Cumbria 💙
A big thank you so far to:

At Offload we’re always taking on board feedback from our participants and the group had recently highlighted that they would like to mix up our talking sessions with occasional activities to act as a positive distraction.
As a result, we listened and we have kicked off our monthly activity plan with a visit to the Lumber Lounge, Carlisle. The event was a fantastic success and positive feedback has been received about the new addition to Offload.
We currently have plenty of capacity so if you or someone you know is struggling, keep an eye on our pages for details of our next meetings.
We are pleased to announce our new partnership with Prospus Marketing!
Elizabeth Fisher, Director of Prospus Marketing said: “Supporting a men's mental health charity is not just a cause; it's a commitment to the well-being of those who matter most to us.“
"Through our joint efforts, we aim to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage more men to seek the support they need.", says Elizabeth.
Offload Cumbria's founder, Liam, expressed gratitude for the partnership, saying, "We are thrilled to have the support of Prospus Marketing. This collaboration will certainly help us reach more individuals, offering them the understanding and support they need during tough times."
Working together will help us to get more men who are struggling through the doors at Offload.

🚨 Introducing… 🚨
💙 Offload Away Days 💙
Thanks to feedback from the group and all of your generous donations, we are excited to announce an alternative initiative to try and reach as many males as possible who are struggling mentally in Cumbria.
What are Offload Away Days?
These are free, planned days out where people who may not feel comfortable talking in front of others in a group setting can offload whilst doing an activity to help address their mental health indirectly.
How do I register interest?
If you are interested in joining us email offloadcumbria@outlook.com with your contact details or alternatively drop into one of our Offload sessions and speak to Liam.
When is this happening?
To tie in with Men’s Mental Health Week 2022, we are looking at Saturday 18th June for our first outing. Further details will be sent out to those who register interest at the beginning of June.
